ORTILLA

Ortilla is a population located in the plain of the Hole of Huesca within what we know like the level ones The Sotonera, nearest to the dam which takes this name.

It forms city council with Lupiñén and historically, both populations belonged to the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. It shares a railway station with the population of Marracos. Its inner city helmet articulates by two streets with houses of centuries XVI and XVII. Among them the house of General Perena stands out.

Its parochial temple is dedicated to Saint Giles Abbot and it has an increased and extended romansque nave in centuries XVI and XVIII

Towards the west direction of the population we found warehouses excavated in the slope.

In its municipal term also we found the hermitage of Our Lady of the Throat, popular building, and rests of a Roman villa in the proximities of the property "La Mezquita".
