The Ocellated Lizard (Lacerta lepida) is the largest Lizard in Europe. Adult males can reach a length of more than 20 cm excluding the tail. Allegedly specimens of more than 80 cm in length were found (of course including the tail). Moreover, this species appears very robust, especially the males.
