HERMITAGE OF OUR LADY OF THE GABERDOLA
This hermitage was a parochial of a town disappeared in century XVI. It has a rectangular plant and a flat head. It is covered with barrel vault slightly pointed which rests on an arcf absorbed in the walls. The southern cover opens in a body quite emphasized and it is formed by four flat archivolts framed by an equally smooth molding that rest on four stepped pilasters.
In the head wall there is an interesting Romanesque large vane that it is blinded at the moment. It is unique of this kind you can find in Aragón. It is has a form of a loophole and it has a great archivolt of teeth of saw. It is a rectilinear version of a arch with some lobes which belongs to the mudejar tradition. In this vane you can see a pair of small pillars with capitals decorated with faced lions, put molding on abacuses and áticas bases. The hermitage was built with ashlar masonry very taken care of. It can date at the end of century XII. In the interior a painted altarpiece of wood is conserved. The pulpit is leaned in the wall of the feet.
By the wall of the feet it was added, perhaps in century XVIII, a construction for the service of the pilgrims.
