The castle of Artasona is raised in solitaire on a hill to about eight kilometers of Ayerbe, very next to the station of train of Turuñana. This beautiful building still had inhabitants in 1.610, when, by questions of irrigations, bloody armed warfares existed against the followers of the Urriés.

The construction of this castle dates from 1.087 and was ordered to build by Sancho Ramírez to colonize these plains. At the moment, the building is totally in ruins and it only maintains still on two cylindrical towers and part of the door pointed with gothic molduración.
