LEGEND OF SAINT JULIAN, IN LIERTA
Hermitage of Saint Julian (Lierta)
A monk lived and prayed in the hermitage which was built in honour to Saint Julian in the town of Lierta . His fundamental diet was constituted by grass that growed in the environs and eggs and meats of hens that moved by the nearest square and slope of the river.
In certain occasion an eagle that roamed by the mountain range in search of food attacked hens nailing in one of them its sharpened claws and then it fled quickly.
The monk asked Saint Julian that he turned stone to that eagle. And it thus hapenned. Today you can contemplate a rock with an eagle aspect next to the hermitage .
Some appearances are attributed to this hermitage but they can be fruit of the natural phenomena related to the light games of the sun, waters or fog that in so interesting enclave can be observed.
